When the cuticle of the fiber is still intact, it is called "Remy human hair". Since all the fibers will be facing one direction, it will feel softer and there will be less tangling. Hair fibers that had the cuticles removed are called Non-Remy human hair". These fibers aren't all facing the same direction and this will cause more friction and more tangling.
