Pros/Cons of Synthetic Fiber:

A wig made with synthetic fiber is great for first time wig wearers as they tend to be highly affordable and are easy maintain as the pre-styled fiber will keep its style even through washes. Higher quality synthetic wigs are extremely difficult to differentiate from human hair wigs and cost a fraction of the price. However, they cannot be customized with heat tools as this will cause irreversible damage. Another downside is that synthetic wigs tend to last only a fraction of what a human hair or heat friendly wig would.

Pros/Cons of Heat Safe Fiber

A step up from synthetic fiber is our heat safe/heat-friendly fiber, which is great for those that are ready to begin customizing their wigs. These can be styled using your favorite heat tools which is safe up to 350-400 degrees (check manufacturers packaging for correct heat temperature information.) Though you get the versatility of multiple styling options, heat friendly fiber does not have as many customization options as human hair as you cannot dye or bleach the fiber. Heat friendly fiber does not last anywhere as long as a human hair would either which is a factor to take in. For women who want perks of human hair but the lower price of synthetic hair, heat-friendly synthetic fiber is a great choice.

Pros/Cons of Human Hair:

If you want the ultimate in realism, then human hair is just for you. Though human hair wigs require more care and upkeep, they tend to last 2-3 times longer than synthetic wigs. The best thing about human hair is the versatility of unlimited styling options. Have your stylist wash, color, and cut your human hair wig for an extremely unique upgraded look. Human hair definitely allows you to get creative while giving you the most seamless wear!
